About the Program

The Highway Banner Policy Program provides a framework for the installation of promotional banners at the East and West ends of Listowel. This program allows local organizations, community groups, and event organizers to showcase their community events.

The policy outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, design guidelines, scheduling processes, and the approval process for banners displayed above the highway. The program aims to establish a process for the approval of highway banners, ensuring eligible organizations and groups have equal access to advertising opportunities while maintaining fairness and consistency.

All banners must align with community values and comply with applicable regulations set by municipal and provincial authorities.

Application Period is from September 15th - November 11th 2025 @ 4pm

Highway Banner Application

Please provide a description of your event by addressing the following;

  • Event Description: A short summary of the event and its main activities.

  • Anticipated Community Benefits: How the event will positively impact the community (e.g., economic benefits, tourism, cultural significance).

  • Estimated Attendance: The number of attendees you expect to participate.

  • Target Audience: Who you aim to engage (e.g., age groups, interests, community groups).

  • Organizational Contributions: How your organization benefits the community year-round (e.g., programs, services, volunteer work).
