Listowel BIA Launches "Summer in Listowel" Street Banner Design Program

LISTOWEL, ON | March 11, 2026 – The Listowel Business Improvement Area (BIA) is officially inviting local artists and designers to help shape the visual landscape of North Perth. Starting today, applications are open for the Summer 2026 Street Banner Design Program, a project aimed at celebrating the vibrant spirit of our community through public art.
The theme for this year’s program is "Summer in Listowel." Artists are encouraged to submit original designs that reflect their personal interpretation of the town, from favourite landmarks and local traditions to the diverse stories and moments of connection that define the summer season in Listowel.
"We are looking to brighten up our town for future year to come," says Nicholas Manglal-lan, BIA Coordinator. "This program is a unique opportunity for our local talent to showcase how they see 'Summer in Listowel.' We can’t wait to see the creativity our community brings to these designs."
The selected banners will be prominently displayed throughout Downtown Listowel and on Binnings Street from July through September 2026.
Program Highlights:
Honorarium: $500
Eligibility: Open to artists of all skill levels, with a preference for residents of the Municipality of North Perth.
Submission Window: March 11, 2026 – April 26, 2026.
Selection Announcement: May 11, 2026.
Artists can submit up to two distinct designs. To ensure professional quality, all submissions must meet technical specifications detailed in the full Request for Proposals (RFP), available on the website
